A Californian named Epperson was visiting in New Jersey in 1926.One cold evening at his friend's house, he was drinking a glass oflemonade with a spoon in it. He left the lemonade on the window sillovernight, while he slept.

The next morning, the lemonade was frozen solid. Holding theglass by the spoon handle, he put it under running water until theof frozen lemonade came loose.
