從屬連接詞：用于引導從句，這里還要注意英語句子的結構：主謂完整才叫句子，從句從屬于一個長句，作為長句(也叫主句)的一個句子成分，常見的從屬連接詞有：
when(當…時候)，引導時間狀語，表明動作發(fā)生的時間。
When he arrived, he thought something was different.
while(正當…時候)，也是引導時間狀語，后面常用延續(xù)性的動詞。
While I was waiting, a ship entered the harbour.
after(在…之后)，引導時間狀語，注意從句和主句的動作先后。
After he had had lunch, he went to the train station.
before(在…之前)，引導時間狀語，從句中的動詞發(fā)生在主句之后。
He gave me a call before he arrived.
since(自從)，現在完成時的時間狀語標志詞。
I have lived here since 1998.
until(直到)，引導時間狀語，主句常常用not，表示知道什么時候才......
He didn't wake up until I knocked at the door.
although/though(雖然)，引導讓步狀語從句，就是退一步說的意思。
She didn't receive the gift though she like it a lot.
if(假如)，引導條件狀語，有時候需要虛擬。
If I could fly, I would go to the moon.
as(如…一樣;由于)，引導比較狀語從句、原因狀語。
He did as he was told.
I didn't tell him the truth as it could hurt him.
as …as…(和…一樣)，引導比較狀語從句。
The son is now as tall as his dad is.
as far as(就…而言)，引導方式狀語從句。
The road streches as far as i can see.
as long as(只要)，引導條件狀語從句。
You are sure to win as long as you work hard.
as soon as(一…就…)，引導時間狀語從句。
He rang me up as soon as he arrived there.
even if(即使)，引導讓步狀語從句。
They will not buy it even it is very cheep.
because(因為)，引導原因狀語從句。
He missed the train because he got up late.
unless (除非)，引導條件狀語從句。
The baby never cries unless she is hungry.
that 引導賓語從句。
I said that I could give a hand.
than(比…)，引導比較狀語從句，也可以說是一種方式狀語從句。
The bus took me farther than I excepted.
whether (是否…)，引導賓語從句，可以換 if。
I don't know whether he will come or not.
in order that…(為了)，表目的，引導目的狀語從句。
He threw out two heavy food bags in order that the plane could fly over the mountain.
so…that…(如此…以致)，表示結果，引導結果狀語從句。
He worked so hard that he passed the exam.他學習很用功，最后通過了考試。
so that…(以便)，表示目的，引導目的壯語從句。
He worked hard so that he could pass the exam.他很用功的學習為了通過考試。
now that…(現在既然)，表示原因的狀語從句。
Now that you have missed the bus, you will have to wait for another.
by the time…(到…時候)，引導時間狀語從句。
By the time they left, we had been talked about it for 30 minutes.
every time…(每當)，引導時間狀語從句。
He will bark every time he enters the garden.
as if…(仿佛)，引導的方式狀語從句或者表語從句。
He looked at me as if he has never been my friend.
no matter when(或whenever)(無論何時)，引導時間狀語從句。
No matter when you need help, ring me straightly.
no matter where(或wherever)(無論在哪里)，引導地點狀語從句。
No matter wherever you go, I will miss you for ever.
